Why see an orthotist?
Both Emily and Steve are qualified orthotists with HCPC registration.
Orthotists are unique healthcare professionals who merge clinical patient care with an anatomical and biomechanical mindset. With engineering skills to design, fabricate and fit stock, modular and fully custom orthoses, including offering solutions well beyond what is achievable with insoles.
Unlike other allied health professionals that primarily focus on therapy or rehabilitation exercises, orthotists are solely responsible for the entire lifecycle of a medical device, from assessment and casting, to manufacturing and final fitting. Orthotists have a specialist focus on body support, utilising orthoses to support, align or correct body parts to enhance mobility and reduce pain.
